UCSB is widely recognized as having one of the top 10 Chemical Engineering departments in the United States. As part of the department’s drive to continue its impressive rise in stature, it is seeking to establish 20 Doctoral Fellowships and 20 Undergraduate Fellowships. These perpetually funded positions will allow pioneering, high-risk, high-reward research by top students from around the globe, and enable the department to further its history of delivering breakthroughs in energy, new materials and medicine.

A generous contribution from the Dow Chemical Company has helped establish new Discovery Fellowships that are supporting the research of outstanding Chemical Engineering graduate students.
