Project Title:

Preparation and Characterization of Hybrid Perovskite Related Structures

Project Description:

Hybrid organic/inorganic lead halide perovskites have been extensively studied in recent years due to their impressive efficiency as photovoltaic materials. Compared to current commercial technology these perovskite compounds have comparable efficiency yet are cheaper and simpler to process. The most impressive of these hybrid perovskites is, CH3NH¬3PbI3, however, this material faces air instability. Our work is focused on developing novel hybrid perovskites and perovskite related structures that can achieve comparable efficiency whilst maintaining the same attractive low fabrication costs.
