Souvagya Biswas joined Dow in 2018 as a Senior Research Specialist in the Chemical Science Capability of Core Research & Development. His research activity is primarily aligned with the efforts of catalyst development and process optimization for Dow Industrial Solutions and Dow Performance Silicones businesses.

Prior to joining Dow, Souvagya Biswas earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University under the mentorship of Prof. T. V. RajanBabu and completed postdoctoral research at University of California, Berkeley under the tutelage of Prof. F. Dean Toste. His graduate and post-doctoral research was mainly focused on asymmetric catalysis of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond forming reactions, total synthesis of biologically active natural products and development of bio-mass derived bio-fuels.
