Tresa Pollock Receives Robert Franklin Mehl Award

The MRL is proud to announce that Tresa Pollock ( IRG-1 )will be honored with the Institute of Metals/Robert Franklin Mehl Award from The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS).
 
Established in 1921 by the Institute of Metals Division, this lecture award was revised in 1972 to also honor the memory of Robert Franklin Mehl, internationally renowned professor of metallurgy at Carnegie Mellon University. This award is considered a pinnacle award of TMS.
 
Prof. Pollock was cited “For extraordinary contributions to the improved understanding of high temperature alloys and coatings, and for being an inspirational role model for young engineers of both genders.” The award carries particular significance as it marks the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Metals Lecture Award.
