Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation announced on January 16, 2014, the appointment of Dr. Glenn H. Fredrickson, Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials of the University of California, Santa Barbara as Chief Technology Officer (CTO)/Managing Executive Officer and a candidate for a Member of the Board.

He will assume the position of CTO/Managing Executive Officer as of April 1, 2014 and, through the resolution of the next shareholders meeting to be held in June, a Member of the Board. MCHC will also establish an R&D Strategy Office upon his assumption of CTO/Managing Executive Officer. He will step down from his role at TKI, but will retain his current faculty and MC-CAM appointments at UCSB.
