Congratulations to IRG-2 Co-leader Chris Van de Walle for receiving the 2013 AVS Medard Welch Award, the highest award bestowed by the AVS! Chris received the award for his seminal contributions to the theory of heterojunctions and its applications to semiconductor technology, and for elucidating the role of hydrogen in electronic materials.
