Students and Researchers Awarded Kramer Prizes

May 2022
As we approach the end of the academic year, the MRL would like to thank all students and researchers for their contributions to IRG research and participation in mentoring/outreach activities. These are critical for building a strong and vibrant materials community within the MRL and at UCSB.

To honor the legacy of Professor Ed Kramer and his dedication to research excellence and student development, we are continuing the tradition of awarding Kramer Prizes for the best oral presentation during the Materials Research Outreach Program and the best MROP poster presentation (held after the recent Cheetham Lecture by Professor Jeff Long).

Please join us in congratulating

Emily Foley, Materials Department - 2022 Edward J. Kramer Prize in Materials (oral presentation)

Audra DeStefano, Chemical Engineering Department - 2022 Edward J. Kramer Prize in Materials (poster presentation)

Emily and Audra will each receive a plaque and $1500 to commemorate their achievements.
