Congratulations to Justin Poelma and Saemi Oh for both being awarded Best Poster Prizes at the 2013 International Symposium for Stimuli-Responsive Materials. Justin, a graduate student in the Hawker Group, was awarded the Polymer Chemistry Best Poster Award for his poster titled “Chemical Modification of Surfaces by a Light Mediated Polymerization and Atom Transfer Radical Addition.” Saemi, co-advised by Craig Hawker and Javier Read de Alaniz, received the Soft Matter Best Poster Award for her poster titled “Visible Light Responsive Polymeric Micelles Based on Novel Organic Photoswitches.”
