The Center for Scientific Computing began its annual fall workshop series with a full house for "R for Scientific and Data Intensive Computing".  These 1-2 hour workshops are meant to train users on the intricacies of scientific software and its use on UCSB and XSEDE compute clusters.  Other workshops in the series can be found at http://csc.cnsi.ucsb.edu/news/855 .
